The Qube is proud to announce their partnership with Auditel, initiating their dedicated journey towards a sustainable, net zero future by 2040.

The Qube is a UK-based modular construction company specialising in bespoke, sustainable building solutions for the education, leisure, sports, and commercial sectors.

Established in 2007, the company utilises Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) to deliver high-quality, energy-efficient buildings tailored to client needs. The Qube offers a comprehensive design-and-build service, managing projects from concept through to completion, including planning permission, groundworks, and construction.

With over 150 years of combined industry experience, The Qube leverages Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) with a fabric-first approach and highly efficient Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) design to ensure the creation of extremely energy-efficient and high-performing buildings, capable of achieving ‘net zero in operation’.

With that in mind, the company is targeting Net Zero emissions across all their activities by 2040. This target includes the full activity of their supply chain working with us.

The Qube is committed to ensuring its wider business is as efficient as possible with as little carbon emitted. Jordan Spittle, Managing Director, comment, “The Qube may be a small, dedicated team, but their commitment to environmental consciousness runs deep.”

In their pursuit for carbon reduction, they achieved a couple of quick wins by investing in car charging stations at their new headquarters and adding one all-electric vehicle and one plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) to their company fleet.

Facing increasing pressure, they have decided to prioritise carbon reduction. As they engage in numerous public sector projects, including frameworks, there is a significant emphasis on carbon reduction. It is crucial that all companies establish a baseline and actively work on a carbon reduction plan.

To achieve their goal of net zero emissions by 2040, The Qube have established several key milestones –

  • Aiming for 50% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 2030, from a baseline of 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025.
  • Aiming to reduce scope 3 emissions by 40% by 2030, this is from a baseline of 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025.

“The construction industry is notoriously bad for carbon emissions, and we want to work with a dedicated consultant to support us on this journey.”

Jordan Spittle, Managing Director
