OAG is proud to announce the completion of its first carbon footprint assessment, a key milestone in understanding and managing their environmental impact.

By visualising their emissions, they now have a clear picture of where their operational carbon arises, giving the team a solid foundation to measure, manage, and reduce their environmental footprint. This insight has provided valuable encouragement for the company to take further steps towards full carbon reporting and more sustainable operations.

This initial assessment has already sparked a broader conversation within the business about the importance of sustainability and their role in mitigating climate impact. In partnership with Auditel, OAG is now expanding its assessment to include all relevant emissions, including those from their supply chain (Scope 3), which often represent the largest proportion of a company’s carbon footprint.

This new report will build on the initial focus on operational emissions (Scopes 1 & 2) and will be structured to comply with ISO 14064-1, as part of their journey to achieve verified carbon neutrality under ISO 14068-1.

The next stage of OAG’s sustainability journey is focused not just on measurement, but on meaningful action. Plans are underway to explore the installation of a more efficient gas boiler at the head office, which will help reduce direct Scope 1 emissions.

Meanwhile, their large supply chain is being engaged to identify opportunities to reduce upstream Scope 3 emissions, promoting sustainability both within the business and across its wider network.

While OAG have not yet conducted a carbon reduction workshop, these assessments and planned initiatives provide a strong platform to develop targeted strategies in the future.

By taking these steps, OAG is demonstrating its commitment to transparency, accountability, and environmental responsibility. Their goal is to cut operational emissions and inspire broader industry change.

This first footprint is just the beginning. With a full carbon report underway and reduction initiatives in development, OAG is firmly on the path to becoming a more sustainable, responsible, and forward-thinking organisation, helping to create a more sustainable future for the team, clients and the planet.

“Our aim is not only to reduce emissions within our operations but also to influence positive change across the wider industry.”
