About Martin

Martin has over 30 years of experience across global energy, fuel, and digital sectors, most recently at Shell’s Low Carbon Solutions business.

His career has been built on developing strong partnerships, leading complex projects, and turning strategy into commercial reality.

Starting his career running branded retail operations across the Midlands and North Wales, Martin later completed an MBA in France, which led to international business and entrepreneurial ventures. He helped launch a UK Investor Relations business and co-founded a digital recruitment platform, scaling and exiting successfully.

At Shell, Martin worked in Sectors & Decarbonisation and Low Carbon Solutions, supporting:

• Carbon reduction strategies in the Construction, Road and Aviation hard-to-abate sectors
• Adoption of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for Shell and its UK and European airline customers
• Development of cost-effective solutions for the reduction of corporate travel emissions, especially Aviation travel and freight emissions.
• Development and launch of the MachineMax telematics service to reduce the fuel consumption of heavy mobile equipment used in mining and construction
