EGL Homecare Ltd have joined forces with their Carbon Partner, Auditel, to deliver on their strategic objective of reaching Net Zero.

EGL Homecare Ltd, founded in 1979 has grown steadily to become one of the European market leaders in the categories of Scourers, Cleaning Cloths and Sponges. It is now part of the wider EGL Group which is involved, primarily, in the manufacture of domestic and professional cleaning products operating from various sites in the UK and in Poland.

EGL Homecare’s position as own label market leader in the UK has been achieved through a continued commitment to exceed customer expectations in respect of quality, service and compliance and the company fully understands that sustainability is key to enabling
further growth.

Stuart Walters, Group Commercial Director comments, “ EGL is fully committed to improving our impact on the environment by making the necessary reductions to our carbon footprint. All members of the EGL team, our suppliers and key customers are fully aligned with the goal to reach net zero at the earliest possible opportunity.

At our UK base in Shoeburyness, Essex we have been actively working to reduce waste from within our manufacturing processes and have already made marked improvements into the efficiency of our energy usage on site. This will be further enhanced in 2025 with the installation of our solar array which will see us generating our own green energy on site.

EGL appreciate that the journey towards Net Zero is going to require clear professional guidance and this is why we have partnered with Auditel so that our future vision can be achieved. The investment and improvements made so far show our commitment to the environment and our overall sustainability of the business and we are excited to work with Auditel to identify other areas of development.
