About David Dahan
David is a strategic advisor with a focus in business growth, business model and organisational design, transformational change and post-acquisition integration. Beyond strategic development, he helps organisations on ESG, sustainability and their journey to carbon neutrality and net-zero. With experience spanning over 25 years in financial services. He has been advising established corporate entities, start-ups, new investment funds and businesses ready to scale up.
Prior to being an independent consultant, he held a variety of strategy and senior leadership roles in the Aviva Group. Earlier in his career, as a strategist, he worked with global Boards and Executive teams on a broad range of organisational challenges. Most recently, David was Managing Director of Aviva Investors’ activities in infrastructure and structured finance assets, as well as co-head of the Alternative Income Solutions business. Under his leadership, the infrastructure investment team made significant investments in renewable energy, transport and social infrastructure.
He was previously part of the Aviva Investors real estate executive committee with a range of responsibilities during his tenure; he led strategic & corporate development, he created and grew a number of new businesses and has led real estate, indirect private equity, listed real estate securities investment teams. Whilst leading Aviva Investors’ infrastructure business, David was an advocate of sustainability matters; he co-chaired a global investor-led initiative to introduce sustainability benchmarking for infrastructure investments. David also held a number of non-Executive directorships of Aviva Investors subsidiaries and asset holding vehicles.
David has studied and worked in France, the US and the UK. He holds a BA in Political Economy of Industrial Societies from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as an MBA from the Cambridge Judge Business School. He is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
