Founded in 1898 and set in the glorious Dorset countryside, Broadstone Golf Club is one of the finest examples of an unspoilt heathland golf course in the South of England, and sits in the Top 100 golf courses in the UK. Within 250 acres of rolling terrain, the fairways run freely and separately through superb natural heathland with its swathes of heather, pine, gorse and rhododendrons, several holes offer magnificent views for miles around.
In the past, Broadstone Golf Club had been advised by a number of so-called specialist companies that they could save them money on their running costs, but none of them had delivered.
So when members who had worked with Auditel recommended them to the Club’s General Manager, David Morgan, his expectations were low. However on the strength of their positive experiences, he decided to give Auditel a try.
Auditel looked first at utilities and, following their in-depth analysis of the Club’s usage and needs were able to repay the Club’s faith in them handsomely.
Auditel is completely independent and this flexibility coupled with their knowledge of the supplier market and cost management expertise has led to annual savings of 18% on electricity costs, 16% on gas and 8% on water and sewerage. Better still, following close examination of the historical billing, they were able to negotiate a healthy refund of over £18,000 from the incumbent electricity supplier and a smaller, but nonetheless welcome, refund for water.
Auditel then turned their attention to Merchant Card costs. Their analysis, recommendations and implementation in this highly competitive cost area have returned impressive annual savings of 20%.
