As a corporate financial reporting accountant, I bring extensive expertise in ESG and sustainability reporting, with a strong background in carbon accounting across the utilities, waste, and solar sectors. My focus is on empowering companies to accurately measure their environmental impact and implement robust processes that enable long-term emissions reduction.

I am deeply committed to addressing the impact of carbon emissions on our planet and society. I believe that real progress comes from supporting businesses to lower their carbon footprint while effectively managing costs. To further this goal, I have completed specialised training in ESG for professionals and sustainability for finance.

In the current challenging economic climate, organisations are battling with the desire to drive growth and profitability, whilst investing in low carbon emitting technologies to reduce their carbon footprint and speed up their journey to Net Zero. There is also the ever-increasing pressure in competitive tenders, consumer led demand, and internal staff resources, which means all companies are facing the challenge of decarbonisation and gaining recognised credentials for their environmental activity. Failure to address this runs the risk of losing out on competitive tenders and market share to other suppliers.

The challenge in addressing all these issues is then compounded by increasing scrutiny of environmental claims by investors, Government, consumers and environmental charities. The aim of engagement is to help organisations not just to navigate their path to Verified Carbon Neutral on their journey to Net Zero, but to fund it through our cost savings and procurement solutions from within the business where possible.

Our independence ensures we remain agile enough to engage with those new to a sector, should we believe it to be in our clients’ interests, and equally to no longer engage if that becomes appropriate.

We maintain a significant national supplier database, capable of serving the requirements of the most demanding of UK wide organisations. In addition we recognise the often cultural and environmental value of regional and local suppliers and work hard to cultivate effective relationships in all cost area sectors.

With our help, our clients are introduced to suppliers with competitively priced products and services, fair & reasonable terms, reliable billing provision and proven customer service. Equally the suppliers we engage with are introduced to client opportunities they would not usually be aware of or able to tender for, and with little expense from a sales and marketing perspective.
