Auditel’s ESOS Qualified Lead Assessors

By 11th February 2015April 4th, 2019No Comments

Energy-Graphic01On various blog posts, we have commented on the new Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS). The first compliance with the regulations needs to be notified to the Environment Agency by 5 December 2015 – not too far away!

The scheme mandates that all large UK organisations must undertake comprehensive assessments of energy use and efficiency opportunities at least once every four years. Large organisations are deemed as those who employ at least 250 people, or have an annual turnover in excess of €50 million and a balance sheet in excess of €43 million.

To comply with the regulations, ESOS Qualified Lead Assessors will need to be appointed to sign off your overall ESOS Assessment in the following areas:

  • Measurement of your total energy consumption for buildings, industrial processes and transport
  • Identification of areas of significant energy consumption, accounting for at least 90% of your total energy consumption
  • Identification of cost-effective energy efficiency recommendations for areas of significant energy consumption;
  • Reporting compliance to the Environment Agency

This where Auditel can help!

Howard Ward, Alan Ford and Graeme Johnson are ESOS Qualified Lead Assessors within Auditel. They can take over full responsibility for achieving compliance for those who qualify for this scheme. At the same time, they will also identify opportunities to reduce energy use and to cut consumption, emissions and cost accordingly.

Auditel Cost Management Consultants are well placed to monitor your energy consumption as a by-product of our expert procurement services and so you might also like one of Auditel’s Business Health Checks to see how your other overheads are doing.
