ABOUT

David James

Managing Partner

David is a BSI & NQA Associate Consultant, helping businesses with their carbon footprints and carbon reduction planning, enabling their decarbonisation pathway. Sitting on three decades of sustainable supply chain and sourcing experience, David was the first pioneering BSI Partner to be appointed as an Associate Consultant for the delivery of the BSI PAS2060 Carbon Reporting Standard.

A founding partner of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) ensuring the forests sourced from globally, were being managed sustainably to prevent deforestation. This was achieved with BM Trada certification, through a third-party verification partnership with the Soil Association. He spent the following three decades in the manufacturing sector, producing consumer goods from FSC® certified woodlands. This included product engineering. Specifically, the removal of single-use plastic as primary packaging on consumer goods. Industry innovation to product specifications, resulted in taking over 700 million items of single-use plastic out of the supply chain annually.

David James 

Huw Williams

Principal Carbon Accountant & Internal Verifier

I am a Principal Carbon Accountant, qualified greenhouse gas verifier, and EcoVadis Practitioner, with a passion for helping businesses navigate the transition to a low-carbon future. My skill spans multiple sectors—including private investment, manufacturing, wholesale, retail, and professional services—giving me a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities organisations face when tackling climate change. I specialise in delivering projects aligned with ISO 14064-1, ISO 14068, PAS 2060, SBTi, FINZ, and advising businesses on EcoVadis ensuring that sustainability strategies are both credible and impactful.

Before moving into carbon accounting, I held several C-level roles in retail and operations. That experience taught me how to balance commercial priorities with environmental responsibility—something I bring to every project I work on. I’m also passionate about education and knowledge sharing. I’m currently developing training programs to make carbon accounting accessible for beginners and environmental professionals alike, empowering more people to take meaningful climate action. When I’m not working on sustainability projects, you’ll usually find me exploring new ideas in climate policy, mentoring professionals, or enjoying the outdoors.

Emily Tucker

Carbon Accountant

Emily is a qualified Carbon Consultant with experience of guiding numerous businesses through their carbon reduction journey. As a BSI associate consultant and NQA partner consultant, Emily is qualified in the GHG Protocol Accounting & Reporting Standard and ISO14064-1 to deliver PAS2060. After completing a BSc in Geography and an MSc in Public Health, Emily developed a holistic understanding of the environment and is particularly passionate about climate change and mitigating its impacts.

Sam Pritchard

Carbon Accountant

Sam Pritchard is a qualified carbon accountant with a strong academic foundation in environmental science and sustainability. He holds a BSc in Physical Geography and an MSc in Environmental Dynamics and Climate Change from Swansea University. Sam also completed a PGCE in Secondary Geography, reflecting his commitment to education and environmental awareness. With a passion for understanding the planet and the impacts of human activity, Sam transitioned into carbon accounting to take a more hands-on role in driving climate action. He now works to help organisations accurately measure and reduce their carbon footprints, applying data-driven methodologies to support meaningful sustainability strategies.

Sophie Edwards

Carbon Accountant

Sophie is a carbon accountant and BSI associate consultant with a strong academic foundation, holding an integrated masters degree in Biological Sciences. Her background provides an understanding of anthropogenic climate change and has fuelled her passion for carbon reduction. She is passionate about helping businesses understand their emissions and meet their climate goals, recognising the value of changes that can benefit both the environment and long-term business success.

Carbon Accountant

Sustainability graduate with strong carbon accounting skills and a deep passion for protecting the environment. Experienced in analysing environmental data, calculating emissions, and creating carbon reduction plans. Trainee Carbon Accountant

Elizabeth is a Trainee Carbon Accountant with academic qualifications in both Economics and International Management. She is currently developing technical expertise in carbon footprinting methodologies, including the GHG Protocol and ISO14064-1, with the aim of supporting ISO14060 compliant reporting. Elizabeth has a strong personal and professional interest in environmental sustainability and is committed to helping organisations integrate climate-conscious strategies into their operations.

Tried and tested process

Since the conception of carbon footprinting, we have been working on the process, we believe we have developed a process that produces the highest quality of work and ensures that all possible scopes are covered and thoroughly screened. We hold ourselves internally accountable for every project we embark on and strive to complete a comprehensive, meaningful, and robust outcome. We have weekly project meetings with the entire team where we discuss each project in detail.

OUR CMS – (CARBON MANAGEMENT SYSTEM)

We have built our own system to track and run our projects to make sure that our delivery dates are met consistently, we have not delivered late on any project to date, including where the client has been slow to provide data.

Auditel’s internal verification department check every inventory that we produce, this is undertaken by one of Auditel’s member firms that have been trained in verification and all are conducted under ISO14064-3 the standard for verification. We look forward to working with you.

Dedicated Workbooks

SCR
Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) was introduced in 2019, as legislation to replace the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) Scheme. SECR requires obligated companies to report on their energy consumption and associated greenhouse gas emissions within their financial reporting for Companies House.
ESOS
Organisations that qualify for ESOS must carry out ESOS assessments every 4 years. These assessments are audits of the energy used by their buildings, industrial processes and transport to identify cost-effective energy saving measures.
Carbon Footprint Reporting 
A credible CFR that meets PAS 2060 specification must meet certain professional standards. Producing a poor-quality CFR can put your brand at risk. With our consulting team, your CFR will be prepared in line with all the requirements of the BSI PAS 2060 specification. 
Carbon Reduction Planning
Effective carbon reduction planning will deliver cost savings to your business by putting in place a short, medium, and long-term strategy to reduce your Greenhouse Gas emissions. Our approach will prioritise these projects with fully costed business cases. Where capital investment is required, alternative funding sources will be considered. 

Carbon Offset Purchasing
Once practical emission reduction has occurred, you might want to consider the purchase of carbon offsets from a provider of high-quality voluntary carbon offset projects. Auditel’s understanding of this fast-moving marketplace combined with almost 30 years of procurement experience will ensure you acquire the right Carbon Credits at the right price.

PAS 2060 Verification
If you decide you want to gain formal verification of your carbon neutral claims, then PAS 2060 carbon neutral verification is next and Auditel will assist you all the way. This includes the preparation of your Qualifying Explanatory Statement (QES), price comparisons and selection from different verification bodies and finally, marketing assistance to get the most from your achievement of carbon neutrality.
